Outside Bets for Roulette
In roulette there are two primary types of bets; outside bets and inside bets. The primary difference between inside bets and outside bets is the fact that with inside bets your chances of winning are low and, as a result, the payouts for them are much greater. On the other hand, your chances of winning with an outside bet is much higher which then results in lower payouts for outside bets. The outside bets are the one to eighteen, nineteen to thirty six, the colors red or black, even or odd, column bets, and dozen bets.
Most of the outside bets are probably self explanatory. The one to eighteen bet consists of a player making a wager that the ball will land on any one of the numbers one through eighteen. The nineteen to thirty six bet is much the same except that the player is placing a wager that the ball will land on one of the numbers between nineteen and thirty six instead. A player can also choose to bet on only the color of the pocket that the ball lands in my choosing either red, or black. A player can also place a bet on whether the upcoming spin will result in an odd of even number. Column bets involve a player placing a bet on an entire column of the board which encompasses twelve numbers. A dozen bet is similar to a one to eighteen or a nineteen to thirty six except that the wager is placed on one of the three groups of twelve numbers from one to thirty six.
